Mike Wood
Mike Wood has more than 39 years of collective business experience, in multiple industries, which include but are not limited to, medical sales, legal services, the banking industry, the travel industry, insurance and non-profit organizations. His clients have included Walmart, Sam’s Club, the Kansas City Chiefs, PepsiCo Inc, Coca-Cola Company, MedComp Science Laboratories, CardioDX, Atlas Genomics, WellPortals, Expedia, Priceline, Northwestern Bank and Michelin Tire.
Mike’s skills include medical sales team management, global sales management, and training operations for more than 16,000 sales agents, systems implementation, business management, human resources and budgeting and cost control. In addition, he possesses personnel hiring, program development, and team building skills garnered in major corporate and non-profit environments.
Mike was a cofounder of Medical Network Associates (MNA), a national medical sales company. MNA’s mission was to identify new product and sales opportunities and take advantage of evolving technologies. While serving as a director of medical sales, Mike was responsible for the management and training of more than 50 sales agents. In addition, he was responsible for medical sales contract negotiations as well as developing relationships with key medical laboratories, hospitals, physician groups and individual physicians.
In addition to Mike’s medical sales experience, he served as a leading sales manager for Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. where he was responsible for more than 27% of the entire company’s corporate division sales revenue for all its North and South Carolina territories. While working there, he acquired the largest national accounts in company history while maintaining a consistent sales closure ratio of 93% or higher.
Mike’s philanthropic work includes organizing disaster relief mission trips, participation in Operation Christmas Child, Operation InAsMuch, Thumbprint Ministries, Manna Food Ministries and Carolina Mountain Missions. In addition, Mike serves on the advisory board for the Boy Scouts of America, serves as a little league coach and is the Chairman of Church Deacons
